I was lucky enough to get to snap a few pictures of my friends the Millers the other night!  I live right next to a corn field/cow pasture, so the color brown is very easy to come by in my next of the woods.  It leaves me wanting something green at our next base!

These are my dear friends the Mooney Family!   My husband and Mr. M work together and we’ve been lucky enough to call them our friends for the past 2 and a half years.   Sadly, they have received military orders to another assignment and we will have to say farewell in the next month.  I’m so honored to have been asked to photograph them.

Every so often I get the fantastic opportunity to hang out with other local Clovis photographers.  I love these get-together’s like nothing else. There is never a real goal, it’s just a chance to talk photography with others that have the same passion.  We usually all bring our kids and they are the set models for the date.  It’s the perfect opportunity to try things that you might not normally give a chance.  I used my 50mm lens on this shoot and found a new love for it.  Normally I stick with the 24-70mm because I like the crispness it delivers (and it zooms).   The 50 mm is always my top recommendation to any beginner.  It kind of speaks for itself don’t you think?
